US hits Iran with new sanctions
WASHINGTON – The Obama administration is expanding punitive sanctions against Iran over its nuclear and missile programs and support for the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. The Treasury Department on Tuesday added five Iranian companies linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the state-owned shipping line, including two banks and a freight forwarder, to its financial blacklist.
