Nature Day is the official name of Sizdah-bedar, which appears on Iranian calendar on the thirteenth day of the Iranian New Year (begins on March 21)./ Iranians have a tradition of spending the day outdoors on the 13th day of month Farvardin. “Sizdah” means thirteen, and “bedar”, means to get rid of, in other words “getting rid of thirteen”.
