Magnitude 6.3 earthquake strikes Iran
There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries/ -- A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck southeastern Iran on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries from the quake, which the survey said was centered about 130 miles southwest of Zahedan, Iran, and about 330 miles north of Muscat, the capital of Oman. It was about 12 kilometers, or just over seven miles, below the surface. The quake occurred at 10:11 p.m. local time, or 1:41 p.m. ET, according to the USGS.
