Iran: Probe opens into opposition leader Karroubi
- Iran's official news agency says judicial authorities are investigating former presidential candidate Mahdi Karroubi, who became a top opposition figure after June's disputed election. The Tuesday report by IRNA quotes prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi as saying a special clerical court is leading the inquest into Karroubi, who has accused security forces of rape and other abuses.
