White House tells Democrats it will not cooperate with impeachment inquiry
WASHINGTON — The White House counsel, Pat Cipollone, sent a letter Tuesday afternoon to House Democrats calling the impeachment inquiry into President Trump “constitutionally invalid” and indicating that the White House would not cooperate with the congressional committees pursuing it. “President Trump and his administration cannot participate in your unconstitutional inquiry,” the letter said.
