US condemns death of Iranian activist
WASHINGTON – The State Department is condemning the death of an Iranian activist during her father's funeral, saying the death was the result of "reprehensible actions" by Iranian security forces. The activist, 54-year-old Haleh Sahabi, died Wednesday while attending her father's funeral. Iran's government-run media reported that she suffered a heart attack, but dissidents say she fell to the ground and died during a scuffle with security forces.
