UAE arrests 9 Iranian teachers
Nine Iranian teachers, who had been sent to work at Iranian schools in the United Arab Emirates, were arrested on October 7 by the UAE police. Khalilollah Babalou, Head of the Iranian Education Ministry’s Center for International Affairs and Schools Abroad, said the teachers may be released tomorrow, Fars news agency reported on October 11. The Iranian teachers have been seemingly arrested due to problems in their visas. However, Babalou said that the exact reason of arresting is unknown.
