Two Iranians Convicted of Botched Bangkok Bomb Plot
By Wilawan Watcharasakwet and Warangkana Chomchuen BANGKOK--A Thai court on Thursday convicted two Iranian men for their involvement in a botched bomb plot that Thai and Israeli officials believe was intended to kill Israeli diplomats in Bangkok. The court sentenced Saeid Moradi, 29, to life imprisonment for attempting to murder a police officer and for possessing explosives that damaged property and injured several civilians. Mohammad Kharzei, 43, was sentenced to 15 years in jail for possessing explosives. Both men had pleaded innocent. ...
