State Dept. won't say whether US asking Iran to free seized cargo ship
The U.S. State Department would not say Friday if it is asking the government of Iran to release a Marshall Islands-flagged cargo ship it seized in the Strait of Hormuz earlier this week. “We've been working with the Republic of the Marshall Islands and with Maersk to understand the facts of the situation,” said Jeff Rathke, a State Department spokesman.
