Plane crashes in northwest Iran
A Iranian passenger plane carrying 105 passengers and crew crashed in northwest Iran, near Lake Urmia, on Sunday night. The plane departed from Tehran and was headed to the city of Urmia. Fortunately, the plane did not explode after the crash. According to initial reports received at the press time of the Tehran Times, about 60 people had been safely rescued from the plane. The plane was about to land at Urmia airport but did not succeed due to snowy weather. Then the plane disappeared off the flight controllers’ radar screens
