Peoria under sewer overflow alert for Thanksgiving
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Due to large amounts of rain, the city of Peoria has issued a Combined Sewer Overflow Alert for Thursday. When Peoria gets too much rainfall, the sewers overflow, and instead of that sewage going to the water treatment plant, it flows into the Illinois River, said public work’s spokesperson Nick McMillion.
