Over 50 survive in air crash in northwest Iran
TEHRAN, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- A passenger plane with 105 passengers on board crashed Sunday in northwest Iran, with 50 passengers surviving. The plane took off from Tehran at 19:45 local time (1615 GMT) and was going to arrive in the city of Uroumieh when it crashed near a village, Fars news agency reported. The flight had been delayed twice due to bad weather in Tehran, which saw brief snow on Sunday morning, said the report.
