Israel Says It Shot Down Iranian Drone, Strikes at Syria, Loses F-16
Israel says it shot down an Iranian drone that was launched from Syria after it entered Israeli territory late Friday. In response, Israeli Defense Forces spokesman Jonathan Conricus said Israel aimed an attack on Iranian targets in Syria. Conricus said Iran was “responsible for this severe violation of Israeli sovereignty.” The military says its planes struck 12 targets Saturday including three aerial defense batteries and four Iranian targets that are part of Iran's military establishment in Syria, according to the Associated Press.
