Iranian official criticizes local media over insulting French first lady
TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday criticized the local media for calling French first lady, Carla Bruni, a "prostitute". "Insulting officials of other countries and using improper words are not endorsed by the Islamic Republic of Iran," Mehmanparast told reporters in his weekly press briefing.
