Iran to support Syria to end: commander
TEHRAN, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Iran will support Syria to the end, a commander of the powerful Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) was quoted as saying by local media on Thursday. The commander of the Quds Force of the IRGC, Major General Qasem Soleimani, said the United States has resorted to various ploys to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, ranging from exerting political pressure on Damascus to finding excuses of alleged use of chemical weapons by the Damascus government against it own people, Tehran Times daily reported. ...
