Iran starts nuclear talks with world powers at UN
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Iran has begun talks with six world powers at the U.N. on its disputed nuclear program. Ahead of the meeting on Thursday, U.S. officials tried to tamp down expectations of any quick breakthrough. The meeting marks the highest-level direct contact between the United States and Iran in six years as Secretary of State John Kerry comes face-to-face with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.
