Iran slams UN human rights resolution, calls it biased
Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United States has strongly condemned a recent UN resolution that expresses "serious concern" over the use of the death penalty in Iran as well as the status of the freedom of expression. The resolution drafted by Canada was backed by a vote of 76 to 35 with 68 abstentions in a UN General Assembly committee on November 19.
