Iran Says 400 Protesters Still Detained
Iran's judiciary says that 400 people are still being detained across the country for taking part in a wave of antigovernment protests that began on December 28. Judiciary spokesman Gholamhosein Mohseni-Ejei said on January 14 that 55 of the detainees were being held in Tehran. Ejei said the latest figures on detained protesters came after "some were released" on January 13-14.
