Iran prosecutor wants US hikers tried soon
TEHRAN (AFP) – An Iranian prosecutor called Wednesday for the rapid trial of three US hikers accused of spying, a day after one of them, Sarah Shourd, was freed on bail and allowed to leave the country, the state news agency IRNA reported. Tehran prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi "has asked the court to hold the trial as soon as possible as the investigation had taken a long time," IRNA said.
