Iran Opens Nuclear Fuel Plant
Iran has opened a plant to produce fuel for the country's civilian nuclear plants. Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of Iran's nuclear agency, said the plant at Esfahan in central Iraq would produce uranium dioxide enriched to levels of less than 5 percent. Salehi emphasized uranium dioxide produced at the plant could not be used to make nuclear weapons.
