Iran fails to qualify for AVC Cup for Men semis
The Iranian volleyball team was defeated against India 3-2 (25–20, 27–29, 29–31, 25–27) in the 4th AVC Cup for Men on Saturday./ The competition, which serves also as Qualification Tournament for 2015 World League, will run until August 24 in Almaty, Kazakhstan./ In the last three editions, Iran has won two titles in the 2008 and 2010 in Thailand and Iran respectively, under tutelage of Hossein Madani, who died of cancer on August 1.
