Iran fails to put monkey in space
TEHRAN, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- An attempt by Iran to put a live monkey into space has been unsuccessful with the failure of the Kavoshgar-5 rocket, Iranian officials have admitted. The failure is seen as a setback to Iran's announced intentions to put a man into space by 2020, Discovery News reported. Tehran acknowledged Wednesday "all of (Kavoshgar-5's) anticipated objectives were not accomplished" in the launch that reportedly took place sometime between Aug. 23 and Sept. 22.
