Iran Closes 'KFC Branch' In Tehran
Iran has shut down what officials reportedly thought was a branch of the U.S. fast food chain KFC. Iranian media reported that the restaurant, called Halal KFC, opened on November 1 in Tehran only to close a day later. Police claimed KFC Halal had been operating "under a false license," while the manager of the restaurant said it had nothing to do with the U.S. firm.
