Mass cemetery found in western Syria
A team of Syrian archeologists excavating the country's western city of Tartous, has unearthed a mass cemetery carved in rock. The cemetery, found near al-Basel Hospital, consists of seven rooms including burial chambers, the Archeologists from Syria's Department of Antiquities discovered two rooms, a solo tomb, three vessels, two small golden pieces and a clay lamp in a hall found in the cemetery's eastern wall.
