Iran on Saturday hanged a woman who was convicted of murdering a former intelligence agent who she claimed tried to rape her. Reyhaneh Jabbari was executed at dawn for premeditated murder, the official IRNA news agency reported. According to her 2009 sentencing, Jabbari, 27, stabbed Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi in the back in 2007 after purchasing a knife two days earlier.
