Turkish author Yasar Kemal dead at 91
ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Turkey's state-run news agency says Yasar Kemal, one of Turkey's best-known novelists with worldwide readership, has died. He was 91. The Anadolu Agency says Kemal died Saturday at a hospital in Istanbul. Kemal was the author of "Memed, My Hawk" a story about feudal relations in Turkey's traditional southern regions.
