Massive Thomas Fire grows to 5th largest in California history
One week since it first began, the destructive and challenging Thomas Fire has already soared into the record books as one of the largest wildfires in California history. As of Monday morning local time, the fire's acreage has soared to 230,500 acres, putting it fifth on the list of the California wildfires. After decreasing to 10 percent, officials said the containment had risen to 15 percent on Monday.
