Landmines injure 5 students in western Iran
The explosion of a landmine remaining from the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980S has injured 5 students in a tribal area in Ilam Province, near the border with Iraq./ According to IRNA, Ilam’s Education Department Director General Ali Beiranvand said that the incident happened on Sunday afternoon as eight students were heading home after school./ Two of the students were in a serious condition and were taken to healthcare centers out of the province, Beiranvand stated.
