Iran, Oman to discuss gas pipeline project
An Omani delegation is scheduled to arrive in Tehran this week to discuss the route of a pipeline, which is projected to transfer Iran’s natural gas to the Persian Gulf state, the Tasnim News Agency reported on Saturday. In March 2014, Iran and Oman signed a memorandum of understanding under which Iran will supply Oman with 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year in a 25-year deal valued at around $60 billion.
