Iran Minister Facing Impeachment Motion Defends Actions
Iranian Science Minister Reza Faraji-Dana, who a group of hardline lawmakers are trying to impeach over his efforts to ease restrictions in universities, turned up at a parliamentary session today to defend himself. The impeachment motion, signed by 51 members of the 290-seat chamber, was lodged earlier this month and is the first against a minister in President Hassan Rouhani’s cabinet.
