House backs resolution supporting Israel
WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. House of Representatives has backed a resolution expressing support for Israel and its right to self-defense. Lawmakers endorsed the non-binding measure by a voice vote on Friday. It condemns Hamas for unprovoked rocket attacks on Israel. The bipartisan resolution is sponsored by Democratic congressman Steve Israel and Republican congressman Tom Cole.
