News agencies reported from Athens that Greece’s parliament voted in favor of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ proposal to hold a referendum on the country’s creditor proposals for more austerities and financial reforms such as cutting payments to its 2 million pensioners in exchange for loans.
